Shell access
Using the built-in shell to bootstrap the machine.
Mars includes a built-in shell connection for accessing a machine with the
mars-user role. Use it for initial machine setup, including user configuration,
Tailscale, and SSH access.
Connecting to the shell takes a few seconds after starting the machine. The shell icon will indicate the state of the shell.
Running processes through the built-in shell is not recommended. The shell closes 20 minutes after disconnection. Use Tailscale and SSH for durable access.
