Machine operations

Machine operations are the actions available on the machine tab. They let you interact with a Mars Machine after it has been created.

Machine status

This indicator shows the current state of the Machine.

IndicatorMeaning
Mars is provisioning the machine and its storage.
The machine is moving toward the requested state.
The machine is online and ready for connections.
The machine is offline, stopping, or being removed.

Machine log

These are the status messages shown while the machine is moving toward the requested state or waiting for shell access to become available.

Log messageMeaning
Provisioning MachineMars is creating the machine and provisioning its resources.
Starting upMars is starting the machine so it can become available.
Waiting for shell access...The machine is running, and Mars is waiting for shell access to become available.
StoppingMars is stopping the machine.
Startup canceled, stoppingA machine creation or startup flow was canceled, and Mars is moving it toward stopped.
Waiting to stopMars is waiting for startup progress to settle before it can stop the machine.
Shutting downMars is shutting down a running machine.
Canceling creation and terminatingA machine creation flow was canceled, and Mars is terminating the machine instead.
TerminatingMars is terminating the machine.
Cleaning up machineMars is cleaning up a stopped machine before deletion finishes.
Deleting machineMars is deleting the machine.
ErrorThe machine hit an error and may need support.
