Machine specs
Your Mars Machines can be configured with different parameters depending on your needs. This guide helps you choose the right settings before creating a machine.
Machine parameters cannot be changed after the machine is created. If you need to change them later, contact support.
Name
It's the visual identifier for your machine. It appears on the Machines page so you can identify it before running operations.
Region
Select the region closest to you for the best experience while interacting with the machine. Changing regions does not affect pricing.
Machine size
Choose the CPU size that matches your workload. In most cases, a small machine is enough for running a single agent. If you plan to run multiple agents, or agents alongside development servers, choose a medium machine.
| Size | CPU | RAM |
|---|---|---|
| Small | 2 CPU | 8 GB |
| Medium | 4 CPU | 16 GB |
Storage
Choose storage based on the kind of work your agent will do. The default 100 GB is sufficient for most tasks. You can reduce storage to 30 GB if you know the machine will not need much local disk space. If your work involves large assets, choose more storage so the machine does not run out of disk space during a task.
Operating system
Mars runs Ubuntu by default. This is suitable for coding tasks and most assistant agent workflows. If you need macOS or Windows machines, contact support and we can enable them for your account.
